Why this book is Joseph T. Dager's favorite:
I followed John Jantsch's blog for a year or so, and saw one day he had published the book. I procrastinated a while and purchased it.
I read the book, maybe even struggled with it a little. It was not an easy read for me. Not big words, not difficult reading it just did not flow. What I discovered was that I was still wondering how I was going to use from the last chapter in real life and was unwilling to leave it go to start with the next. After I was finished, I sat the book down and told myself, John Jantsch had written my book.
I said that because I have been practicing marketing for over 25 years and he explained in detail the type of marketing I had been doing. The first thing I did was purchase John's Ultimate Marketing System and Duct Taped our retail store. After doing so, it has risen in sales, gross profits while cutting the marketing dollars in half. The next thing I did change my life.
I became a Duct Tape Marketing Coach last year. However it did not start out with a bang. It was rather slow convincing people a marketing system is the correct way to go. They wanted to hear I was going to create or manage a marketing calender of events. Not manage white space. After 6 months and dozens of talks it now has all started to turn around. People suddenly are starting to understand or more likely, I am starting to explain it better.
So based on a single copy of a book, for $14.95, I have made a dramatic career change and took our retail store in a terrible market beyond the expectations of the owners, my wife and I.
